Our History

King Sales & Engineering was founded in 1930 by Walter King in San Francisco. The early years of the company were devoted to designing, building and selling packaging automation equipment including rotary fillers, labelers and case packers to the growing canning industry in Northern California’s San Joaquin Valley.

As automation requirements continued to grow through out the packaged goods industries in the 40’s and 50’s, the company expanded its customer base and it’s manufacturing capabilities and grew to over 20 employees.

To augment the manufacturing business and expand its product offerings, King Sales & Engineering began representing other packaging machinery manufacturers and became one of the West Coast’s largest manufacturer’s representative firms. The sales volume of packaging machinery systems continued to grow and in 1965 the manufacturing business was sold and 100% of the company’s focus was on sales and engineering.

We currently cover the Western States and BC Canada with sales offices strategically located in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Portland.

Whether you are looking for a single machine or an entire packaging line, you can count on King Sales & Engineering to provide you with prompt support, excellent service and the right machinery to help you get the very best performance from your packaging lines.
